Ankeny Community Theatre was originally founded in 1981 by a group of civic-minded individuals who sought a more robust cultural environment within their community. The organization adopted its bylaws and articles of incorporation in 1985. ACT continues to create valuable cultural opportunities and community involvement for theater goers, theater members, theatrical talent, and resident families in Ankeny and the larger surrounding community.
