Our biennial state competition, IowaFest ’25, was help March 7-8 at the beautiful Boman Fine Arts Center in Forest City. The ICTA and Brickstreet Theatre Board of Directors hope you enjoyed the festival!
IowaFest ’25 is more than just the Iowa theatre companies bringing shows to compete for the opportunity to advance to the Region V AACTFest in Newton on April 4-6. IowaFest is a time to gather to take advantage of the workshops and networking. We had three tremendous adjudicators to comment on each show and share their expertise on topics such as fundraising, directing, and “Including More of Your Community Theatre in Your Community”.

Two shows advanced to the Region V AACTFest which was held April 5-6 in Newton, Iowa. They were:
- Bauer – Ankeny Community Theatre
- Men on Boats – Des Moines Playhouse
Men on Boats was also selected to represent Region V at AACTFest 2025 in Des Moines in June.
